Hi,

most banks have a policy against opening an account with you if you have bad credit… its also going to be a bit tough to get a credit card, mortgage etc… your credit record is connected with a lot of things (like in getting a car, loan, and sometimes even getting employed etc.) that its sort of used to evaluate you, to see how well you handle your finances… but there are companies that offer credit cards, savings and checking accounts for people with bad credit, so it gives you a bit of financial freedom…
